It all started on the terraces.

I’d be clutching my dad’s hand, wide-eyed at the sea of colour, chants echoing through the air, the smell of pies and smoke lingering around the ground.

But nothing compared to pulling on a brand-new shirt for the first time. It wasn’t just fabric — it was your badge of honour. The colours, the crest, the sponsor across the chest… it made you feel ten feet tall. Whether it was a birthday gift or a surprise before a big game, that moment of unwrapping a new kit and wearing it proudly to the match is something you never forget.
